Privacy Policy

Learn how the Aria UI website handles analytics, performance measurements, local theme preferences, external resources, and upload demonstrations.

Last updated

This notice describes data handling on the Aria UI documentation website. If you install Aria UI components in your own application, your application's data practices depend on how you implement and host it.

Visiting the website

Aria UI is hosted on Vercel. Delivering pages and protecting the service requires handling network requests, which can include an IP address, requested URL, browser information, and request timing. Hosting and security logs are separate from the analytics described below. See Vercel's Privacy Notice for information about its processing.

Analytics and performance

The website integrates Vercel Web Analytics to understand which pages visitors use. Its documented data includes page URLs, referrers, approximate location, and browser or device information. Vercel describes this as aggregated analytics that does not use cookies for visitor tracking. Read Vercel's analytics privacy documentation.

Vercel Speed Insights measures page loading and interaction performance. Reports can include the page URL, browser and device characteristics, country, and Web Vitals measurements. See Speed Insights privacy information.

Avoid putting personal information, credentials, or private tokens in page URLs. URLs can be included in analytics and service logs.

The light, dark, or system theme preference is saved in your browser's local storage under the key theme. It remains there until you change it or clear the site's browser data. Clearing it resets the preference; it does not delete previously collected server-side analytics.

The documentation search runs against an index in your browser. Typing in the search box does not submit the query to a separate search service.

Interactive demonstrations

Examples are provided so you can try component behavior. Use sample data rather than real account credentials, payment information, or confidential content.

The upload examples can transmit selected files to the website when an upload starts. The demonstration endpoint acknowledges the request and does not implement file storage. The request still passes through hosting infrastructure, so these examples should not be used to upload sensitive files.

External resources and websites

Some examples load resources from external providers. The theme editor requests fonts from Google Fonts, and some demonstrations request externally hosted images or editor resources. These requests expose network and browser request information to the receiving provider. See Google's Privacy Policy and the relevant provider's policies for their practices.

Links to GitHub and other websites take you to services with their own privacy policies. Information you post in public repository issues is publicly visible.

Your choices

You can clear local website data through your browser settings and use browser controls to restrict requests or storage. Some features may stop working when those requests are blocked. Clearing local storage does not undo an upload or remove information already received by another service.

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or restrictions on the processing of your personal information, or to object to processing. You may also have a right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes to this notice

This notice should be read together with the website terms. Changes to website features or service providers may require updates to this page; its revision date appears above.
